Gamified training for small business teams

Turn your procedures into a game your team actually wants to play.

Import your existing SOPs, or let us help you document what's still living in your team's heads. Either way, Tallen turns every procedure into practice your team runs on their phone — step-order challenges, timed rounds, and leaderboards that keep employees onboarded, certified, and sharp.

What Tallen does

Don't Have Procedures Written Down Yet?

Our documentation consultants interview your team, map the real workflow, and write clear step-by-step procedures — formatted and ready to import straight into the app.

Onboarding & Certification Paths

Turn "shadow Dave for two weeks" into a structured path of modules — new hires progress and earn certifications as they prove they know each process cold.

No. 4

Leaderboards & Daily Practice

A daily challenge, timed speed rounds and team leaderboards keep procedures top of mind long after onboarding — so knowledge doesn't quietly decay between busy seasons.

Ongoing Content Updates

When a process changes, re-upload the corrected spreadsheet: it updates the processes you already have, write-ups and practice questions replaced in place rather than duplicated, and you decide whether the change is big enough that everyone should read it again.

How it works

One procedure, three ways your team actually learns it.

1 · As you wrote it

Opening the shop

  1. Unlock the front door and turn off the alarm.
  2. Turn on the lights, the music, and the open sign.
  3. Count the register float and log the amount.
  4. Check the prep list against what is in the cooler.
  5. Walk the floor for spills, clutter, and dead bulbs.

However it exists today — a binder, a photo of the checklist on the wall, a note on somebody's phone.

2 · Step-order challenge

  • Count the register float and log the amount.
  • Walk the floor for spills, clutter, and dead bulbs.
  • Unlock the front door and turn off the alarm.
  • Check the prep list against what is in the cooler.
  • Turn on the lights, the music, and the open sign.

Shuffled. Your team taps them back into order — against the clock, if you want it timed.

3 · Practice question

The float is $20 short when you count it. What do you do?

  • Make it up out of the tip jar
  • Start the shift and mention it later
  • Log what you actually counted, and tell a manager before opening
  • Round it up so the drawer balances

Questions that catch a skimmer. You write them — or we write them with you.

Setup

Talk us through how your shop runs for half an hour and send whatever you already have — a photo of the checklist on the wall, an old training binder, a document someone made years ago. We turn it into training, then read it back and tell you where a step is ambiguous to someone on their first shift. Your team's first login shows your procedures, not a sample.

$499 once, review included

Content review on its own

For when a year has gone by and nobody has read the fire procedure since. We go through what you have and suggest improvements — the ambiguous step, the instruction that only makes sense if you already know the answer. You accept or dismiss each one. We never rewrite your words for you.

$99 once

What the others charge

We checked. Tools built to train a team your size generally run $99 to $299 a month, and several won’t show you a price at all until you sit through a sales call. Some charge as much as $1,000 just to set you up — before anyone on your team has read a single procedure.

Ours is $499, once, with the review included — and you can skip it entirely and write everything yourself. The monthly price is on this page because you should be able to work out what this costs without talking to us first.

Competitor pricing checked August 2026. We don’t name them — look them up and hold us to this.

In every plan

Unlimited procedures, unlimited practice, training paths, sign-offs and the audit record, the manager dashboard, CSV exports, and staff who join with a code — no email addresses, no passwords, nothing to set up per person.

  • Free forever for one person on one device. The subscription is for teams — shared procedures, a leaderboard, and a training record that outlives the phone it was made on.
  • “Staff” means people with access right now. Someone who leaves stops counting the month they go.
  • Hire an eleventh person in week three and nothing changes until renewal. We're not going to invoice you $30 for growing.
  • More than 50 staff, or more than one location? Tell us about it — additional locations are half price.
Try it yourself

Take a shift you know and put it in order.

Step-order challenge

Tap the steps in the order you would really do them. Tap one again to take it back out.

      Practice question

One question per process, or twenty — whatever the job actually needs.

This is a sample. Yours would be your procedures, in your wording, with your team on the leaderboard.
